Passive cooling in one line

Reflect the sunlight, emit in the one band the atmosphere does not block, and the sky stops being a ceiling and becomes a drain into a 2.7 K universe. No compressor, no wire.

  1. 1 An ordinary roof on a +35 °C afternoon — Everything touching this roof is heated by it. The cooling has to come from somewhere else.
  2. 2 A coating that mirrors sunlight instead of drinking it — Reflection alone gets you down to air temperature. It cannot take you below it.
